Stevenage have made their second signing of the January transfer window - landing a Republic of Ireland international.

Daryl Horgan has won 17 caps for Eire and moves from Wycombe Wanderers on loan for the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old has spent two and a half seasons with the Chairboys and has made a combined 80 appearances in the Championship with both Wycombe and Preston North End.

He also has more than 60 appearances in the Scottish Premiership with Hibernian.

The attacking midfielder follows Charlton Athletic's Jake Forster-Caskey in this week, the latter joining on a permanent basis.

However, like the former Addick, he too will have to wait for his debut as he is cup-tied in the FA Cup and therefore unavailable for the trip to Aston Villa.

Horgan came off the bench in the 64th minute of Wycombe's first-round loss to Walsall.

Saxon Earley (Plymouth Argyle) and Arthur Read (Colchester United) have both departed Stevenage this week.
