Arthur Read's rumoured move to Colchester United from Stevenage has been confirmed - with the midfielder signing a two and a half year deal.
The 23-year-old had made 83 appearances during his time at the Lamex, first on a season-long loan from Brentford before signing full-time in the summer of 2021.
Stevenage revealed the deal was for five figures plus "a stake in his future".
His first game for the club will be the U's trip to Harrogate on Saturday.
Earlier in the day Boro confirmed the permanent signing of Jake Forster-Caskey from Charlton Athletic.
