The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across the East of England today.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely to lead to some transport disruption this morning (Tuesday, June 20), the Met Office has warned, adding that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

While many areas will miss them, thunderstorms are likely to develop during Tuesday afternoon for some, the Met Office said.

The yellow weather warning is in place until 6pm.
