THE tale of Rachel Stein, a beautiful Jewish chanteuse who becomes a double agent in the Netherlands during World War II, is a nice change of pace from the director who brought us Basic Instinct and Starship Troopers.

Not since Hitchcock has a female movie spy (played here by Carice van Houten) been so beautiful and, when handled by a talented director, so devastating.

The film is in Dutch with English subtitles. 3/5
