AN all-Russian programme conducted by Alexander Lazerev is coming to the stage of the Bedford Corn Exchange.

The fiery conductor returns to this venue with the Philharmonia Orchestra on Tuesday, April 25, for the annual mayor's concert.

The programme, entitled Moscow and St Petersburg, is a celebration of music by composers who lived and composed in, and depicted, Russia's two greatest musical cities.

Included in the evening will be works by Stravinsky, Chopin and Borodin.
