IF early-70s-style heavy rock is your thing, Deeply Purple may be just the band to crank your amp.
The group, widely regarded as the UK’s top Deep Purple tribute band, play Letchworth’s Plinston on February 4.
Seasoned musicians, they faithfully recreate the guitar and organ-based sound that made the original Purple such an influential band in the decade of progressive rock.
They stay faithful to Deep Purple’s music, but are not afraid to improvise, in the spirit of the original band.
Deeply Purple are expected to play audience favourites with all the mark II and III classics from 1970 to 1975, when heavy rock ruled.
They are supported by The Almaboobies, three sisters who blend urgent bittersweet harmonies with power chord-driven rock.
The show starts at 7.30pm, and tickets cost £11 in advance and £13 on the door.
