MY PASSION has launched their new club night Style Suicide Club, which begins this Friday.

It takes place this week at Hitchin Town Hall but then transfers to Club 85, in Whinbush Road, Hitchin, from October 27.

The group's vocalist Laurence René lifts the lid on the event and explains what it is all about.

"It will have My Passion appearing alongside successful national bands and up and coming local superstars.

"Style Suicide is set to be the greatest club on earth, somewhere in the dazzling distance where misfitted beautiful people all hail a new order.

"A disco, metal, art rock extravaganza. A New Wave dancefloor horror. A jerky synthetic pop sensation. A deep thrill for life."

Opening the event this Friday are The October Game (formerly Insomnia) whose new album Laurence describes as a "work of art". The Game are then followed by local indie disco kings Model Horror.

Next on stage will be Neil's Children, fresh from headlining the recent Club NME show in London and some super hot shows in Europe. They have a pretty decent reputation and worth taking a look at.

Last on stage are My Passion and these guys are just getting bigger and better.

They are back in Hitchin headlining this gig to promote their exclusive iTunes track Winter for Lovers and to prepare for their UK tour dates. They are also soon to be playing in Spain as well.

They have also been picked out of thousands of acts to appear on a forthcoming Kerrang! album featuring the hot new acts of the year.

Things are certainly looking pretty darn impressive for the boys.

The show at the football ground is an all-ages affair and entry is £5. Doors will be open from 7.30pm until late.
