A BIG band and a big night for charity are coming to Letchworth s Plinston Hall this Sunday. The George Thorby Big Band are holding a concert in aid of their trombonist friend, Russell Baldwin, who is terminally ill with cancer. The band will be appearing

A BIG band and a big night for charity are coming to Letchworth's Plinston Hall this Sunday.

The George Thorby Big Band are holding a concert in aid of their trombonist friend, Russell Baldwin, who is terminally ill with cancer.

The band will be appearing alongside vocalist John Brennan and singing star of the 50s and 60s, Craig Douglas, performing songs including Only Sixteen and Teenager in Love.

The band's aim is to raise money for the family to get to Mexico for Russell to receive further treatment.

The concert starts at 7pm and tickets cost £10.50 (£8.50 for concessions).
