* Cool Ethan, Spooky Slim, Ormost Ordinary and Counterfeit are playing a charity concert gig to help raise money for Task Brasil, a charity aimed at improving the lives of young children living on the streets of Brazil.

Doors open at 7.30pm and there is a £4 donation charge for entrance to the event at Plinston Hall, Letchworth, on April 15. This gig gives you the opportunity to enjoy some great music, and feel charitable at the same time.

* Hitchin Folk Club presents Little Johnny England at the Sun Hotel, Hitchin, this Sunday, April 9. Little Johnny comprises of five experienced musicians who combine traditional and contemporary folk music talents. Doors open at 8.15pm.

* Masterplan Productions are promoting a gig at Club 85 in Hitchin tomorrow (Friday). The event is organised by Promotions' Andrew Budge and The Madeleines, The Runners, Fruition and the fantastic The New Tones are all on the bill. Tickets are £5.

* Fourpiece Wishbone Ash have been together for over 30 years and have been pencilled in to play at The Junction, Cambridge, this Sunday, April 9. Doors are open at 7pm and tickets are £15 and £16.
