He may not be as wild as he was in his younger days but the man they call the godfather of grunge-folk will never grow old gracefully – he’s too busy making music for that.
The legendary Wild Willy Barrett, once the sidekick of madcap John Otway and a cherished figure on the fringes of fame for the past four decades, will star with French singer Aurora Colson and his four-piece French Connection ensemble in the Saturday, April 23, curtain raiser for the inaugural Kimpton Folk Festival, which will be staged in July.
The village’s Memorial Hall is the venue, tickets are £10 with free admission for those aged 16 and under, and the music starts at 8pm.
