It’s the start of many a joke – an Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar...

But this time it’s not so much the start of a joke as the start of a whistlestop comedy tour of North Herts.

That’s because Lastminute Comedy mine host Paul B. Edwards is serving up an early Christmas special next week.

It all kicks off on Thursday, December 4, at Baldock’s Orange Tree pub, when Irishman Robbie Bonham will be on the bill.

Alongside him will be David Whitney, who has his roots north of the border even though he has now headed down to London looking to make his name on the comedy circuit.

Making up the English corner of this tittersome triangle is Paul himself, who will be taking on MC duties as usual.

Once Thursday night’s opener is over, the three will be setting their sights on Lastminute Comedy’s spiritual home at Hitchin’s Woodside Hall where they will be serving up more of the same on Friday night.

And if you can’t make either of those dates, there’s a final chance to see the multinational mirthmakers at Letchworth Arts Centre on Saturday, December 6.

You’ll pay £8 for the Baldock show and £10 on the door for the Hitchin and Letchworth dates, and you can also book tickets for Letchworth online at www.letchwortharts.org or by calling 01462 670788.
