Staging a farce can prove a real headache for a theatre company’s tech crew – just ask Stevenage’s Lytton Players.
They’ve been hard at work polishing the set for the company’s forthcoming production of Michael Fray’s evergreen theatre world farce Noises Off, which features entrances and exits galore – and quite a few doors.
The small stage at the Lytton base in Vardon Road is being painstakingly prepared for curtain up on Wednesday, April 15, with 7.45pm performances continuing until the Saturday night.
The play follows the backstage antics of a touring company through ramshackle rehearsals, a shambolic first night and a final disastrous performance.
Tickets are £8.50, £6 seats available for Wednesday and Thursday – call 01438 357407 or visit www.lyttonplayers.co.uk to find out more.
