Welcome: Sirs

This Seattle four-piece have been around for a decade, but have only just got round to making their debut album after numerous line-up changes and a lengthy hiatus.
It's certainly a strange beast, too.
The band melds melodies of a distinctly West-Coast US flavour with vocals disarmingly similar to Lennon and McCartney.
Then they throw the whole lot into a decrepit washing machine along with some home-made FX pedals, a dose of psychedelia, US underground rock and exploratory, dischordant guitar twangs, and give it a good kick.
At the end of the cycle, out falls a fresh, unpredictable and ramshackle mess somehow held together by its disparate parts. Enticingly challenging. 3/5
