THIS Sunday the Gordon Craig Theatre presents a performance by some major British opera soloists, singing a Viennese Strauss Gala.

They will be recreating the nostalgia and romance of Vienna, comprising highlights from some of the great operettes of Strauss, Kalman and Lehar.

The talented lead singers from the National Opera companies will be accompanied by The European Orchestral Ensemble.

* STARTING on Monday February 20, is the production Gaslight starring Leah Bracknell and Peter Amory of Emmerdale fame.

This taut psychological thriller is a tale of mystery, murder and suspense, focusing on Mr and Mrs Manningham who live in smog-ridden Victorian London.

The play was made famous when it was turned into a Hollywood movie starring Charles Boyer, Ingrid Bergman (who won an Oscar for her role), Joseph Cotton and saw the movie debut of a young 17-year-old British actress, Angela Lansbury.
