Fans of Arlesey punk-pop threesome Count The Days are being urged to help them get a support slot with McFly on their 2012 UK arena tour.
The boys, Alex Preston, Robert Hulbert and James Kinsey have entered McFly’s Battle of the Bands competition and need as many ‘likes’ as possible to be in with a chance of opening for the power-pop group at one their 26 gigs.
Singer and guitarist James explained how to vote: “Google ‘McFly Battle of the Bands. Type in Count The Days. Hit the ‘like’ button – you have to be logged into facebook – and it’s that simple.”
McFly will choose their favourites from the top 50 bands after voting closes in January. The boys are currently 76 out of nearly 900 bands on the site.
Count The Days’ new three-track EP, Prepare For Something Else, is available for download from iTunes and on CD in David’s Music, Letchworth.
