Baldock’s Pete Guy, described by some as Cat Stevens meets the Kinks, releases his first EP and second single with Folkstock Records this weekend.
The five track Houdini EP has been produced by Andy Theakstone at Unit Studios in Letchworth Garden City and incorporates the drum and fiddle talents of local musician friends Rich Squire and Genevieve Witham from The Nimblewits.
The recording will be available online as well as at Vicfest, the four day feast of music at Hitchin’s Victoria pub where Pete is playing on Sunday afternoon.
Vicfest gets under way at the Ickleford Road pub on Thursday, and continues until Monday. Also on the bill are Alex Bay, G. La Roche, Nadia e Rodolfo and the Hometown Boys.
