The lauded invasion of dance music into the rock and indie scene over the past couple of years has given dance music its credibility back.

This 2CD set attempts to prove that dance has more to offer, with 20 tracks of mostly guitar-led music given the remix treatment and, on disc one, fudged together into one long-playing indie-club mix.

Half of it relies on remixes from tipped and established names messing with the likes of Wolfmother, Mystery Jets and Hot Chip, and the rest includes cuts from CSS and The Gossip.

But rather than sounding vital and fresh, the mix is just wearing. Better left on the dancefloor?
