A Letchworth school is set to put on a double bill of outdoor cinema later this month, with a chance to see Top Gun and Mary Poppins in the open air.
Governors at Norton St Nicholas Primary School have teamed up with Sundown Cinema for the outdoor screenings on Saturday, September 16.
First there will be a matinée screening of family classic Mary Poppins from 3pm, with popcorn, soft drinks and more available to buy. Just bring something to sit on – and perhaps a waterproof just in case – and the Norton Road school will do the rest.
In the evening, don your aviator shades for 1986 Tom Cruise hit Top Gun – which will start at 7.30pm, with a bar and barbecue during the film.
Tickets are available from David’s Bookshop in Eastcheap, St George’s Church in Norton Way North, or from the school office during termtime.
Mary Poppins costs £5 for children and £2.50 for adults, with free tickets for under-3s.
For Top Gun, the cost is £12 for adults and £6 for kids, with under-3s again getting in free.
To find out more, call the school office on 01462 623322.
