It will probably take you more than 24 hours to reach Stevenage’s Gordon Craig Theatre from Tulsa, but that’s where peerless Gene Pitney tribute act Tommy Carey will be pumping out the singer’s 1960s hits later this month.
Tommy, pictured above with the man himself back in the day, will be at the Lytton Way venue on Sunday, September 13.
Tommy was an early adopter of the tribute format, paying homage to Gene in the 1970s and 1980s when such acts were a rarity.
Gene passed on in 2006, but Irishman Tommy is making sure his hits live on with a first UK tour featuring a big band and backing singers – visit www.gordon-craig.co.uk for more.
