Letchworth’s Settlement Players are serving up an evening of one-act entertainment on Saturday, with three different dramas being staged on the same night.

Saturday evening has been set aside for the triple bill at the company’s Nevells Road headquarters, with the curtain going up at 7.45pm.

Patrons who snap up one of the £5 tickets, available on the door at The Little Theatre or from David’s Bookshop in Eastcheap, will be able to see David Campton’s After Midnight – Before Dawn, directed by Cliff Francis, which is billed as a dark and atmospheric piece about witches and prisoners which will have you on the edge of your seat, as well as two playlets from Jean McConnell’s Deckchairs quartet. Doggies and Cupboard Love are light-hearted plays with a twist which mark the directorial debut of Helen Faulkner.
