October’s jazz night at Hitchin’s Market Theatre welcomes back London-based acoustic jazz ensemble Viper’s Dream.

The group, last seen at the Sun Street venue nearly a year ago, have a repertoire that ranges across the entire history of jazz, from swing and bebop to Latin, bossa nova and original compositions.

There’s a special emphasis on the iconic music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, served up by an impressive collection of musicians, including guitarists Tim Robinson and Patrick Naylor, with accordion expert Daniel Teper helping summon up that Parisian feel.

The night will be hosted by regular compere Tony Phillips and local jazz funksters Jazzhouse are the house band.

Tickets are £12 from 01462 433553 or www.markettheatre.co.uk, doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start next Wednesday, October 15.
