If you’re labouring under the illusion that there’s nothing to do in that fallow period between Christmas and new year, Hercules is ready to shoulder the burden of changing your mind.

That’s because the award-winning team at Letchworth drama group SPADS are putting the finishing touches to their eagerly-awaited annual panto show – and the curtain goes up on Hercules at the town’s St Francis College theatre tomorrow, Sunday.

The brand new show runs until Wednesday with performances each day at 1pm and 5pm.

There will be songs, dances and jokes to make you both cringe and chuckle in a fast-paced production for all the family, served up by a company that has earned rave reviews from judges at the prestigious National Operatic and Dramatic Association awards and which has been staging one-act plays, full-length dramas, variety shows and pantomimes in the town since 1937.

The group is based at St Paul’s Church in Pxmore Way but main shows are staged at the school’s 300-seat theatre to meet demand for tickets. To get yours call 0845 6522478 or visit www.spads.ticketsource.co.uk.
