LOCAL legends Deadkidsongs are once again raring to go after agreeing to play at Club 85, Hitchin, this Friday.

After their five month break - lead singer Tom has been exploring the world - they are chomping at the bit to jump back on stage, tune in their guitars and get back to what they do best - performing live in front of a baying mob of fans.

They will be knocking out a bulging bag of assorted tricks, combining new material and classic DKS songs with a number of tracks from their excellent EP Seven Songs.

Their music, hard to define, is better disected; hard hitting metal, electronica, post-hardcore riffs and screaming vocals. You couldn't wish for anything more.

But lo - there is more, for the boys from Hertfordshire have got some very distinguished guests alongside them. Support in the form of two heavyweight band.

Portsmouth rock five-piece Munroe Effect (making one of their first trips to Hitchin) and post-hardcore contingent Thoughts Collide who have a pretty strong following in the town already.

With each band as good as the last, and a heavyweight of a headliner, this is a bobby dazzler of a gig.

All three bands each have a my-space website where you can listen to their songs and read about their misbehaving. The sites are;

www.myspace.com/deadkidsongs

www.myspace.com/munroeeffect

www.myspace.com/thoughtscol lide

The doors to the ever-popular Club 85 open at 7.45pm and tickets are £4. This is a 16-and-over gig, so if you've a baby face it's probably best if you take some ID with you.
