So it comes as no surprise to find an album with spades of radio-friendly pop nous. Accomplished guitar and piano-peppered pop is backed with orchestra or stripped down to bare riffs in all the right places.
Stonking lead track Ali In The Jungle sets the bar high with stirring imagery and a chest-beating anthem while the soaring grace of Back When You Were Good and addictive chug of Murder Or Suicide reveal attitude, potent lyrics under the surface.
Intelligent indie-pop kings-in-waiting. 4/5
