TOUGH New Yorker Adelle (Maria Bello) takes her daughter to Wales to visit estranged husband James (Sean Bean).
While there her daughter drowns but Adelle learns of a mythical underworld called The Dark where dead people can be exchanged for one of the living.
Well, it starts off ok but after a while it descends into all kinds of nonsense from which it cannot steer itself clear of.
The film doesn't add up to the sum of its parts. 2/5
