One of the UK’s leading young blues guitarists is appearing in Baldock on Wednesday night.

Jack Blackman, who is headlining at the Baldock and Letchworth Blues Folk & Roots Club session at the Orange Tree pub in Norton Road, has been hailed as an artist who is fast developing into one the most accomplished and exciting young performers on the acoustic roots scene today.

His guitar playing has been described as exquisite and his songs have been generating a great deal of attention from many in the music industry.

Although always haunted by the ghosts of the blues, Jack’s music fuses this with classy song writing and a folk sensibility. His voice has been described as sounding ‘older and more careworn than his tender years should allow’ and he is also arguably the best slide guitar player of his generation.

You can pay on the door - tickets are £10, £9 concessions, and accompanied under 16s get in free.
