Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is set for two days of fun and fundraising this weekend at its base in Moggerhanger.

The annual Big Weekend raises thousands of pounds to support the hospice so it can continue to provide incredible care to patients and their families across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

The Big Weekend comprises two events – on Saturday you can rock out at the Busk Till Dusk music festival from 3pm to 10pm, before enjoying a host of family-friendly activities at Sunday’s Country Fayre from 11am to 4.30pm.

Cath Cole from the hspice said: “The Big Weekend is our largest fundraising event of the year and we cannot wait to see you all there.

“By attending Busk Till Dusk and the Country Fayre you can be sure that you’re helping to contribute towards St John’s Hospice’s vital services in our local community.”

Last year St John’s provided 90,000 hours of care to patients and families and it needs to raise £1.4 million to continue to provide incredible care this year.

The hospice is there for people aged 18 and over who are living with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease.

It offers a range of support from inpatient care in its 15 beds to day services which help people stay at home longer and offer respite to carers.

Busk Till Dusk will see some of the top musical acts across the region play over three stages in one day with the likes of PistonZ, Inlak’esh, Kastaphor, The Zebras, Ollie and Will, Bite the Bullet and 100 Foot Drop performing.

The fun continues on the Sunday with the Country Fayre.

Pony rides, stalls, line dancing, 4x4 driving experiences and a vintage vehicle display are just some of the activities on offer at the event set in the hospice’s beautiful grounds.

Tickets for Busk Till Dusk are £10 for adults and £6 for children, while for the Country Fayre entrance is £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children.
