BASED on the first of the Anthony Horowitz's Alex Rider novels, Stormbreaker sees the 14-year-old hero forced by Britain's secret intelligence service MI6 to follow in the footsteps of his recently murdered uncle and become a spy.
Starring Stevenage's own Alex Pettyfer, as well as Ewan McGregor, Alicia Silverstone and Mickey Rourke, Stormbreaker lacks any real originality or depth but if you look beyond that and just want to be entertained then the film more or less works a treat.
