Pianist Ben Ward from Stevenage will be making the short trip to Hitchin next week for Hitchin Symphony Orchestra’s latest concert.
On the bill are two familiar Romantic masterpieces, Tchaikovsky’s first piano concerto and the Brahms Third Symphony.
Paul has previously performed with the Letchworth Sinfonia and has been the accompanist to Stevenage Male Voice Choir since 2009. Conductor Paul Adrian Rooke said: “Working with Ben for the last seven years, I know what an accomplished and sensitive pianist he is.”
Ben added: “It is tremendously exciting for me to have the opportunity to perform the Tchaikovsky with the full orchestra it was written for in the lovely surroundings of St Mary’s Church in Hitchin.”
Tickets are £14 (adults) and £12 (concessions) with a £2 discount for those booked before next Wednesday, May 11 – call 01462 458614 or drop into the Hitchin Initiative offices for yours.
