Hitchin’s Club85 hosts a four band line-up tomorrow (Friday) to support the work of Oxfam.
The suitably named Oxjam features Hitchin’s newly reformed indie rock act Relentless Jack, and Welwyn’s electro popsters SICILY, singer-songwriter Claire Humphries & Co, and post rock headliners Bouquet.
Organiser Claire Humphries said she was moved to do something to tackle poverty after seeing Save the Children’s Kony video.
“I thought the best way to raise money for a great cause would be to attempt to get people together to celebrate something they love.”
Entry to the 16-plus event is a fiver, with all proceeds going to fight poverty.
