Wednesday evening can be a time for midweek music if you’d like to sound out what’s on offer with Stevenage Symphony Orchestra.
Musical director Phillip Brunton has sent out a recruiting call to musicians to come along to an open rehearsal from 8pm.
He said: “This will be a great opportunity for those people who play musical instruments to join us and play some familiar music – Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and a Russian overture by Rimsky Korsakov.
“If you are a newcomer to the area, or would simply like to try out the orchestra, we would love to meet you.”
The orchestra meets at the Community Arts Centre on Roaring Meg Retail Park. All instruments are welcome to the October 1 rehearsal – find out more about the orchestra, and directions, online at www.stevenagesymphony.org.
