HITCHIN Museum is hoping its latest exhibition will be the inspiration for budding young writers.
The museum is running a Creative Writing Exhibition based on its Painting The Past exhibition and all youngsters are urged to enter.
Painting The Past shows work by archaeological illustrator Donna Waters and features drawings of archaeological finds alongside reconstructions of archaeological sites and monuments.
Children and young people visiting the museum are invited to contribute creative writing pieces which have been inspired by their visit.
There are three categories, under eights, eight to 12 and over 12.
The winners' pieces will be displayed in the museum and the writers will win book tokens.
The exhibition and competition both run until May 6.
