He may be better known as an actor these days but John Thomson cut his teeth as a cult comic before going on to straight role stardom, as well as a place in the cast of TV sketch superhit The Fast Show.
The man who made the Jazz Club catchphrase ‘Niiice’ his own is now back on the stand-up circuit, and headlining at the Mostly Comedy gig at Hitchin’s Market Theatre next Thursday.
Joining him on the bill is Nathaniel Metcalfe, pictured, a rising star who can currently be heard on BBC Radio 4’s late-night comedy James Acaster’s Findings.
The show is officially sold out, but a waiting list for returns will be taken on the door from 8.30pm, on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit www.mostlycomedy.co.uk to book the last few tickets for December’s show with ex-Buzzcocks captain Sean Hughes.
