Music is on the menu at Hitchin gastropub The Radcliffe to add some new flavoursome notes to the bill of fare at the Walsworth Road venue.
And locally-sourced talent features on the specials menu over the next few weeks.
First up on Friday night is Donna Mackay, who originally hails from South Shields but has been based in Herts since studying music at the county’s university at the turn of the century. The singer-songwriter performs all over the country but is well known for her acoustic sets closer to home.
On Friday, January 22, The Radcliffe will host the amazing guitar skills of Ben Smith=, another local favourite whose fabulous fret fingers need no introduction.
There will be a switch from six strings to four on Friday, February 19, when Hitchin-based violin virtuoso Caroline Owen takes a bow.
Caroline has performed all over the world, most recently touring with the British Philharmonic Orchestra for Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds roadshow which packed out prestige dates at Wembley and London’s O2. Call 01462456111 or visit www.theradcliffe.co.uk for full details.
