If you’d like to take a closer look at Peggy Alderson’s Mermaids Playing, dive in to the Stevenage Arts Society summer exhibition which opens at Springfield House in the Old Town on Saturday and runs until Saturday, September 12.
The exhibition contains work in oils, pastels, watercolours, graphite and pen & ink – much of which was produced at the society’s studios which are open on Monday afternoons, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday and Friday mornings, with newcomers always welcome.
Peggy has been a member of the society since it was established in 1968 and plays a key role in arranging and hanging shows. She said: “It’s always fascinating to see the amazing range of styles and talents, and we always welcome new participants.”
