Award-winners at Letchworth drama group SPADS aren’t about to rest on their laurels – after scooping a ‘best panto’ award for their seasonal show at the turn of the year, they’re moving on to summer, and a silver screen celebration.

Their variety show Magic Moments from The Silver Screen, an evening of songs, dances and sketches, will be staged at St Paul’s Church Hall next week as part of Letchworth Festival.

It’s curtain up on Wednesday with further performances on Thursday and Friday, and the company says the Pixmore Way show already looking like another award winner.

Producer Leri Wright says she’s delighted with the way the show is coming together. It’s billed as a fun-filled romp through the golden years of cinema with a nod to movies as diverse as The Sound of Music and The Life of Brian with a hint of Bond, cowboys and horror films along the way. So come along and you will be guaranteed a hugely entertaining evening.

Tickets are £8.50 from www.spads.ticketsource.co.uk or on 0845 652 2478 (local rate).
