Lonnie Donnegan’s generation-defining music is being kept alive in Letchworth this week.

The King of Skiffle’s spirit lives on in his band of 30 years, led by his son Peter, who will be puttin’ on the style at the Plinston tomorrow night (August 13).

Playing Lonnie’s much-loved songs, including Rock Island Line, I Wanna Go Home and Battle Of New Orleans as well as rarities, it promises to be a night of washboard rocking fun.

Tickets are 12.50 from the box office or 15 on the night.
