IT’S competition time for a monthly comedy club as Hitchin and Letchworth GC host town finals in a search for the best new act of the year.
The second annual Lastminutecomedy Club New Act Of The Year will see 10 acts battle it out in Hitchin’s Woodside Hall on Friday, April 8, with another 10 gracing the Letchworth Arts Centre stage in Letchworth GC the following night.
The competition features 60 of the brightest rising stars from the UK comedy circuit in total with acts spread over six shows.
The winners of each heat can look forward to an all-expenses-paid weekend in Devon for the grand final on Saturday, May 7, but who makes it from the Hitchin and Letchworth GC heats will be decided by the audience and licensees, as well as input from The Comet. (CHECK WITH EWAN!)
Both shows will be hosted by Paul B. Edwards, who promises a very different night to what regular audiences are used to.
