Organisers of the Knebworth Proms weekend have named their charity partner for this summer’s concerts.
Classic Ibiza and The Great British Prom will take place in the grounds of Knebworth House on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20.
Revival Productions, the team behind the two concerts, has adopted Garden House Hospice Care as its partner charity.
Based in Letchworth, Garden House Hospice Care provides free specialist palliative care, advice and clinical support for adults and their carers and families living with a life-limiting illness in North Herts, Stevenage, Royston and surrounding Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire villages.
The hospice provides inpatient care, a hospice at home service, a day service, 24-hour advice line, family support, and training and education.

Lisa Ward, of Revival Productions, said: “We wanted to partner with a local charity and Garden House Hospice Care provides invaluable support to patients, their carers, and families facing a life-limiting illness in the region.
“I also have a strong emotional connection with Garden House Hospice Care as both my auntie and uncle, residents of Knebworth, received support and care from the charity in the latter years of their lives.”

Lisa Seccombe, director of fundraising and marketing and communications of Garden House Hospice Care, said: “We are delighted to have been selected as the partner charity for these fantastic concerts at Knebworth in the summer.
“We need to raise over £3million in total income every year so that we can provide our services.
“Support from initiatives such as this will go some way to help us to achieve our target.
“We also have our Colour Clash Splash on July 29, which is a powder paint, water and foam obstacle fun run.”
The Knebworth Proms weekend launches on Saturday, August 19 with Classic Ibiza.
The Hertfordshire stately home will play host to what promises to be this summer’s coolest open-air classical dance party.
Classic Ibiza sees the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) and DJ Goldierocks, aka Sam Hall, perform some of the biggest dance tracks from the last 20 years.
It will start with a chill-out set and, as the sun goes down, the vocalists and USO’s dynamic musicians will ramp things up as the evening breaks into festive-club mode with accompanying lasers.
On Sunday, August 20, Knebworth Park will host The Great British Prom.
The National Symphony Orchestra, led by world famous conductor Anthony Inglis, will lead proceedings.
The orchestra will be joined live on stage by renowned artists such as soprano Annette Wardell, Classical Brit Award-winning Welsh vocal group Only Men Aloud and The Band of the Home Counties Pipes and Drums.
The audience will also be able to witness the winner of the Great British Prom Choir Competition perform ‘Jerusalem’ with these artists.
The evening will conclude with a stunning fireworks finale choreographed to the music in the delightful outdoor setting of Knebworth.
Tickets for both concerts are £35, and £38 on the night.
