Traditional horsepower will get hearts pumping at Monday’s annual Ashwell Show – but there will be motors revving up to entertain the crowds, too.
The expert riders from the Adrenaline Tour motorcycle stunt show are one of the headline attractions at this year’s big event, with an action-packed display that aims to entertain petrolheads of all ages.
But there will be lots of traditional attractions, too, including the equestrian events, dog agility display and dog competitions, a birds of prey display and a chainsaw carver.
And that’s without mentioning the vintage cars, tractors, go karts, and many other highlights.
Organisers say that the horse events include qualifiers for some of the biggest events on the equestrian calendar, so there’s sure to be a compelling competition to provide great entertainment for spectators.
Family fun includes children’s entertainers, a Punch & Judy Show, a free messy play tent, and the chance to see a range of animals – including getting up close and personal with reptiles.
The gates will be open from 8.30am to 5pm, with main ring attractions from 1pm, and horse events from 9am.
Tickets cost £8 for adults, £4 for concessions and children aged five to 15, with under-fives getting in for free.
Advance purchase tickets are available at a 20 per cent discount from www.ashwellshow.co.uk.
