AN artist described by influential music magazine Mojo as “one of the ultimate British songwriters” will be appearing as part of a folk duo in Hitchin on Sunday
John Tams, who also appeared on the Sharpe TV series as Rifleman Daniel Hagman, has had a career spanning four decades and is perhaps best known for his work at the National Theatre.
Mr Tams, a five times winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, will be accompanied by Barry Coope who promise to perform an evening of superb songs delivered in an inimitable fashion.
The gig has been organised by Hitchin Folk Club and starts at 7.30pm.
Entrance is �12 for members and �14 for non-members.
