Armed only with a sniper rifle and rucksack, Anthony Swofford , played by Jake Gyllenhaal, follows a troop into the desert with no real protection from the sun or Iraqi soldiers. Although Gyllenhaal and co-star Jamie Foxx give good performances Peter Sarsgaard steals the show with an amazing, heartbreaking performance. The film is based on a former Marine's experiences in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and is a must-see for lovers of war films. 3/5
