THIS offering, from two 18-year-old west-coast Americans, sets itself up for great things.

The whippersnappers have more than a melody or two up their sleeves, deftly whipping up a heady whiff of Radiohead-like experimentalism-cum-tunesmithery on opener Losing Color.

All goes well until precisely one minute and one second into track two, debut single A Day In The Life Of A Poolshark.

Then the screaming starts, which, while a bearable addition in moderation, sadly detracts from the chugging industro-electronica so as to make listening to all 14 tracks in one sitting a medal-worthy achievement.

If screamo is your thing, this is probably the most tuneful album you'll hear this year.

If not, approach with caution. 2/5
