* ARTISTS Charlotte Wallis and Maureen Bonfield will be exhibiting their work at Hitchin Museum and Art Gallery from January 26 to March 8.
Maureen specialises in design work and Charlotte in larger, more abstract and impressionistic work, but their styles complement each other through their form, texture and colour.
* DOG Friends, Cat Friends - a collection of acrylic on canvas paintings - will be exhibited from January 26 at Hitchin Museum and Art Gallery.
Mother and daughter, Beccy and Ruby Cannon, were inspired to paint pictures of their dog friends through dog walking and sitting jobs.
From this initial focus their work now covers cats and other animals and forms an original and fun exhibition.
Beccy studied art at North Hertfordshire College and has exhibited previously at several Hertfordshire galleries and seven-year-old Ruby is a natural artist with a passion to learn.
* Hitchin Museum is open from 10am to 5pm daily, except Wednesdays and Sundays.
