Young jazz players will be able to rub shoulders with some of the most experienced musicians in North Herts when the Hitchin Light Orchestra hosts its grand Christmas party.

With their traditional home at Hitchin Town Hall still out of action, the HLO team are staging the annual bash at The Priory School in Bedford Road.

And the Priory School Jazz Band will also be on the bill on Tuesday, December 9, from 7.30pm.

The HLO, which has been performing for more than 20 years, has an ‘all ages, all instruments, all abilities’ ethos which puts enjoyment to the fore, both for players and audience members.

The orchestra is now in ruder health than ever, and it’s estimated that there will be nearly 90 performers involved on the night.
