Hitchin Chamber Orchestra is set to bring an evening of beauty and sparkle to the town hall next weekend.
The orchestra – who last performed at the town hall in November last year – will perform Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro, as well as music from Sweden, Italy, Russia and the United States.
Musical director Nick Evans-Pughe said: “We’re delighted to be back at the town hall and look forward to another successful evening.”
Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro is billed by the orchestra’s Ros Woodin as “an inspiring piece of music that ticks just about every box – virtuosic display, musical challenge, variety of sound and texture, extraordinary breadth of feeling and excitement, packed into under a quarter of an hour of through-composed music.”
Tickets for the concert on Saturday, November 4, are available from Hitchin Initiative and hitchinchamberorchestra.org. They cost £10 adults and £5 students in advance, or £12 adults and £6 students on the door.
