After a quarter of a century playing searing blues-rock, the mighty Hamsters are playing their last gig at the Plinston.
The much-loved guitar, bass and drums trio, made up of Snail’s Pace Slim, Miss Zsa Zsa Poltergeist and the Rev Otis Elevator, play a mean Hendrix and ZZ-Top tribute show alongside their original material, but are calling it a day to concentrate on other projects. The show tomorrow night (Friday) will be their last at the Letchworth venue.
Guitarist and singer Slim who has appeared in many guitar exhibitions and technical DVDs, as well as recently being included in Guitarist magazine’s Blues Guitar Heroes book, said he will throw in some acoustic songs as part of the two-hour show.
