Classic carols, uplifting brass notes and a historic setting – there can’t be a better way to get Christmas off to a tuneful start.
The North Herts Guild of Singers annual Christmas carol concert on Saturday night at Hitchin’s St Mary’s Church will feature the choir accompanied by Regent Brass in a concert of seasonal music and carols including John Rutter’s Gloria. There will be a variety of readings as well as an opportunity for the audience to join in with some of the carols.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets (£12, £10, £5) are available from Hitchin Initiative, David’s Bookshop in Letchworth or online at www.nhgs.org.uk.
