MARCUS, an orphaned street kid, turns away from crime to pursue his passion of rap music. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson stars in the lead role in what is effectively a part-biopic of his own life. The film is well made, has a competent director in Jim Sheridan, and 50 Cent is compelling to watch despite not being a great actor.
However, the film lacks two important ingredients, originality and depth and suffers slightly because of it. 3/5
