You’re all invited to a free country fayre in Biggleswade in aid of two good musical causes – with fun for all the family, including a fancy-dress competition for the children.
There will be games, stalls, a programme of arena events and more at day run by St Andrew’s Church in Biggleswade’s Shortmead Street on Saturday, September 23.
The top prize in the raffle is £200, and there is also a prize in the musical-themed kids’ dress-up contest.
Proceeds from the day will go to two charities – one of which is Jessie’s Fund, an organisation that helps children with additional and complex needs or serious illness to communicate through music.
Jessie’s Fund works with children in hospices and special needs schools, providing appropriate instruments, training and posts for music therapists – and also supports over organisations aiming to help children with disability through music.
The second cause supported by the fayre is the restoration of the organ at St Andrew’s, which was built in 1954 and now needs to be completely overhauled to guarantee its future.
The fayre is on from 10am to 3.30pm, and admission is free.
